IT Infrastructure Specialist - 8.5k

About the role

* Lead and assist in planning, designing, and improving IT infrastructure solutions and services, including data centers, servers, storage, virtualization, security, backup, and monitoring.
* Collaborate with teams to develop and execute the IT infrastructure roadmap
* Maintain and support IT infrastructure with defined standards and processes to ensure availability, stability, scalability, security, and performance.
* Evaluate proposed system changes to align with business goals, considering benefits, costs, and implementation effort, and collaborate with IT and vendor teams as necessary.

skills and experience required

* Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
* At least 5 years of experience in implementing, administering and support on-prem & Cloud infrastructure
* Experience in the following are desirable:

• -Microsoft Technology
  -Hypervisor - VMWARE/Hyper-V
  -Infrastructure security
  -Storage (EMC)
  -Backup & DR (Veritas/VEEAM/CA-Arcserve/EMC)
  -SIEM
  -Networking (Cisco Switches/Wireless controllers)
  -Firewall (Checkpoint/Fortinet)
  
  
• Good knowledge and preferably experience in infrastructure design/ architecture
