Job Description
- Develop and implement the strategic plan for application infrastructure, aligning with business goals and IT architectural standards.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of infrastructure components-servers, storage, networks, middleware, and databases-ensuring optimal performance, security, and uptime.
- Lead infrastructure security initiatives, enforcing policies and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory requirements.
- Act as the key technical bridge between infrastructure, development, and project teams to support smooth application deployment and integration.
- Drive improvements in infrastructure efficiency, reliability, and scalability through automation and modernization efforts.
- Oversee the setup and maintenance of development and testing environments.
- Promote consistent documentation practices for infrastructure designs, configurations, and operational workflows.
- Lead resolution efforts for complex infrastructure issues, conducting thorough root cause analysis.
- Foster a service-driven culture with readiness for round-the-clock infrastructure support.
The Successful Applicant
A successful IT Infrastructure Manager should have:
- Extensive hands-on experience with at least three core infrastructure domains, including RHEL Linux with Ansible automation, IBM DB2 databases, middleware platforms (WebSphere, Apache HTTP Server, WS02), messaging systems (Kafka, Zookeeper, Redis), VMware virtualization, and enterprise-grade networking.
- Solid grasp of system architecture principles and their influence on application performance and scalability.
- Proven ability to shape infrastructure design and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure and integration challenges.
- Familiar with industry-standard security protocols, compliance frameworks, and best practices.
