IT Infrastructure Engineer

Summary
The IT Maintenance Engineer is responsible for supporting and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure to ensure optimal system reliability, performance, and compliance with cybersecurity standards.

Key Responsibilities
Systems Administration

• Maintain and support SUSE Linux, Windows Server, and Nutanix HCI environments.

• Ensure system availability, fault tolerance, and peak performance.

• Perform scheduled preventive and corrective maintenance.

• Apply system and security patches and conduct root cause analysis for technical issues.

Infrastructure & Network Management

• Manage routing, switching, and firewall configurations.

• Monitor Nutanix cluster health, capacity, and performance, taking corrective actions as needed.

• Support technology refresh initiatives, including virtualization and storage upgrades.

Monitoring & Security

• Use Splunk for proactive log monitoring, analysis, and alerting.

• Maintain dashboards, reports, and alerts to support system observability.

• Coordinate with security teams on log analysis, threat detection, and mitigation.

Governance & Compliance

• Maintain accurate configuration, asset, and change management records.

• Adhere to standard procedures and approved tools for all maintenance activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Engineering, or related field.

• Proven experience in IT infrastructure maintenance hands-on Nutanix experience required.

• Strong teamwork skills and ability to work independently when necessary.
