Role Description
An IT Infrastructure Analyst is responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing an organization's IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud services. This role ensures systems are reliable, secure, and performant to support business operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and managing IT infrastructure components such as servers, networks, storage, and cloud services
- Troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and network issues
- Assisting in the design, deployment, and upgrade of IT systems and infrastructure
- Maintaining system documentation, configurations, and standard operating procedures
- Collaborating with IT teams to implement security measures and compliance standards
- Conducting performance analysis and capacity planning for IT resources
- Supporting disaster recovery, backup solutions, and system redundancy plans
- Evaluating new technologies and recommending improvements to infrastructure
- Providing technical support and guidance to internal teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
- Experience in IT infrastructure, network administration, or systems management
- Knowledge of servers, storage, networking, and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with virtualization, monitoring tools, and IT service management (ITSM)
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements
- Good communication and collaboration skills
- Certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, Microsoft MCSA/MCSE, or CompTIA Network+ are advantageous
- Previous experience in an IT support, system administration, or infrastructure analyst role is preferred
