We are looking for a proactive IT Executive to support our IT infrastructure. This role involves managing and maintaining hardware and network operations, cybersecurity and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations for end-users.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage and support IT infrastructure, including servers, desktops, laptops, switches, routers, firewalls, IP telephony, Wi-Fi, and other office IT equipment.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot hardware and software to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.
- Provide timely and effective end-user support, resolving IT queries and incidents while maintaining clear communication and service standards.
- Administer user accounts and access rights provision and configure laptops for new hires and offboarding when required.
- Conduct regular system health checks and ensure backup processes are in place, tested, and functioning properly.
- Maintain IT asset management, including hardware inventory tracking and software license administration.
- Manage procurement, renewals, and vendor coordination for ICT equipment and software licenses, ensuring compliance with internal policies and budget requirements.
- Conduct security awareness training for employees and promote good cybersecurity practices.
- Ensure adherence to the organisation's IT security policies, standards, and procedures.
- Identify IT needs, recommend practical solutions, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency, reliability, and productivity.
- Support IT projects and initiatives, contributing to planning, implementation, documentation, and post-implementation reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma in IT/ Computer Science or equivalent.
- At least 2 - 3 years of experience in IT Support or Information Systems.
- Proficient in Windows operating systems (Client & Server) and virtualization technologies (Hyper-V & VMware ESXi).
- Strong knowledge of network protocols & infrastructure, server administration and IT security.
- Ability to work independently and as a team, with good communication skills and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Microsoft Office, Teams, and OneDrive.
