Job Description

Job Summary

Support the Club's IT infrastructure by administering systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, coordinating vendor relations, and assisting in IT strategy and budgeting to ensure seamless technology operations and data protection.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head of Department in formulating and implementing the Club's corporate IT strategy to align technology with business goals
  • Collaborate in planning the annual IT budget to optimize resource allocation and cost efficiency
  • Develop and review contingency plans for disaster recovery to safeguard the Club's information against viruses, human error, or natural disasters
  • Set up, support, and maintain the Club's management information system, servers, network, WiFi, and POS systems to ensure uninterrupted operations
  • Perform daily server administration and backup tasks for the Club's management information system to maintain data integrity and availability
  • Provide end-users with timely support for PC hardware and software troubleshooting, management information system issues, POS system software and hardware problems, and POS key creation or updates
  • Liaise with system vendors to coordinate system installation, maintenance, modifications, and troubleshooting for continuous system reliability
  • Document all system modifications, updates, and upgrades performed by vendors to maintain accurate system records
  • Coordinate and process computer-related purchases by reviewing purchase requisitions, recommending solutions to end-users, and obtaining supplier quotations to support IT needs
  • Maintain an up-to-date record of all computer assets and software used within the Club for inventory control and audit purposes
  • Update and renew all IT-related maintenance agreements to ensure ongoing vendor support and system upkeep
  • Conduct periodic audits on all computers to verify software license compliance and virus protection status to mitigate security risks
  • Document and update standard operating procedures to ensure consistent IT processes and knowledge sharing
  • Provide standby IT support after office hours, on weekends, and public holidays to promptly resolve critical system issues
  • Perform other IT-related duties as assigned by the Head of Department to support overall IT operations

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Diploma in Computer Studies or an equivalent qualification
  • Preferably at least 3 years of work experience, ideally with exposure to Club environments
  • Experience managing networking, network security, web development, and user support to maintain secure and functional IT infrastructure
  • Experience in project management to coordinate IT initiatives effectively
  • Proficiency in PC hardware applications and common office automation software to support end-user needs
  • Experience supporting Microsoft products such as Office365, Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive for business productivity
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL databases for data management and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to diagnose and resolve IT issues efficiently
  • Ability to communicate technical information clearly through verbal presentations and written reports to stakeholders
