Job Description
The IT Business Intelligence Specialist is responsible fordesigning, developing, and maintaining data analytics solutions that supportbusiness decision-making. This role involves transforming data into actionableinsights through dashboards, reports, and data models.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain BI dashboards and reports (e.g., Power BI, Tableau)
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources
- Analyse large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity
- Optimise database queries and performance
- Support data warehousing and data modelling activities
- Provide recommendations to improve business processes through data insights
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field
- 2-5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Analysis, or similar role
- Proficiency in BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of SQL and database management
- Experience with ETL processes and data warehousing
- Familiarity with Excel, Python, or R (preferred)
- Understanding of data modelling concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and stakeholder management
- Attention to detail and data accuracy
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Experience in automation and scripting
