We are seeking an experienced and proactive IT Business Analyst (Financial) to support business applications, drive system enhancements, and ensure smooth delivery of projects within the financial or insurance domain. The role requires close collaboration with users, vendors, and solution teams to analyze issues, gather requirements, coordinate testing, and support successful implementation of system improvements.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Investigate user-reported issues and define the scope of analysis and resolution.
- Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements clearly.
- Prepare User Requirement Specifications (URS) for system changes and enhancements.
- Conduct feasibility studies and work with stakeholders to recommend practical solutions.
- Prepare test plans, perform system testing, and coordinate or monitor User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Manage assigned project and enhancement timelines to ensure on-time delivery.
- Work closely with vendors and internal solution teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Raise data extraction requests and support root cause analysis for production or system issues.
- Prepare issue analysis reports and communicate findings and recommendations to users.
- Escalate risks, issues, and blockers to the team lead or relevant stakeholders when needed.
- Build strong relationships across business and IT teams to support collaboration and delivery.
What We're Looking For:
- At least 3 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst.
- Experience in the Singapore Insurance or Financial Services sector is preferred.
- Good understanding of SDLC, system implementation, and business analysis practices.
- Exposure to project management and vendor management will be an added advantage.
- Experience with Microsoft technologies (.NET) and internet technologies is a plus.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Good listening skills and the ability to translate business needs into clear requirements.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn new technologies and business processes.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Able to build positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
