On behalf of our client, we are seeking a dedicated IT Applications Audit Manager to lead their IT Applications Audit team. This is a specialised leadership role focused on ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of a complex application landscape. You will take full ownership of the IT applications audit lifecycle while directly overseeing and developing a team of technical auditors.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: Formally manage, mentor, and review the work of a dedicated team of IT Auditors focused on application controls.
- Audit Lifecycle Management: Take full responsibility for audit planning, scoping, and fieldwork execution specifically for enterprise-level applications (e.g. ERP, core business systems).
- Technical Oversight: Lead deep-dive reviews of application-level risks, including data privacy, interface controls, and automated business process controls.
- Reporting & Delivery: Finalise high-quality audit reports and present findings to senior management, ensuring clear communication of remediation requirements.
- Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with IT application owners and business process leads to drive a culture of robust internal controls.
Must-Have Requirements
Please Note: This role requires prior experience in a formal people-management capacity within an IT Audit environment.
- Management Experience: A proven track record of managing a team of auditors, including performance management and the quality review of their work.
- Audit Expertise: Extensive experience leading audit planning and fieldwork specifically within the IT Applications domain.
- Technical Proficiency: A deep understanding of application control frameworks, SDLC, and automated controls.
- Certification:CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) is mandatory.
- Communication: The ability to translate complex technical application risks into business impact for non-technical stakeholders.
