Overview
We are helping one of our esteemed clients to look for an experienced IT Application and Production Support Manager to provide 1st and 2nd line production support for critical front-office trading systems. This role focuses on maintaining application stability for electronic trading, risk management, and client-facing platforms across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end support for in-house eCommerce and trading applications (FX, Rates, MM Treasury, Structured Products, Corporate FX, Commodities).
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot incidents, and own P1/P2 issues through resolution and post-mortems.
- Coordinate with global support teams (London, New York, Mumbai, Montreal) in a Follow-the-Sun model.
- Improve monitoring tools, automate incident detection, and enhance self-recovery processes.
- Maintain disaster recovery plans and participate in bi-annual DR exercises.
- Document procedures, manage knowledge base, and ensure seamless handovers across regions.
- Ensure compliance with audit, risk, and regulatory standards.
Requirements
- 715 years experience in IT application/production support, ideally within financial markets.
- Strong business knowledge of FX, Rates, Credit, and other fixed income products.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL; ITIL understanding of incident and problem management.
- Excellent communication, multitasking, and stakeholder management skills.
- Resilient, proactive, and able to work independently in a fast-paced trading environment.
- Fluent in written and spoken English.
- Flexible to work early shifts (as early as 6:30am) and occasional weekend support for DR activities.
