Role Overview

We are looking for a Business Analyst who can work independently to drive our test automation project, with the goal of improving the overall efficiency of conducting UAT for system enhancements and change requests across our application systems. The individual will be expected to review our application development lifecycle, identify areas for improvement, and work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to validate system enhancements or change requests.

Scope of Work

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

Engaging stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document functional and non-functional requirements to support UAT planning, test scenario design, and overall test coverage across system enhancements and change requests.
Identifying system enhancement opportunities by translating business needs into business requirement documents, ensuring requirements are testable and aligned with UAT objectives.
Reviewing implementation plans, managing application product backlogs, and collaborating with business stakeholders, external parties, and ICT providers to ensure UAT activities are well-coordinated and aligned with release schedules.
Designing, developing, and executing automated test scripts using tools such as Tricentis Tosca for functional and regression testing across frontend, backend, and integration workflows, with the aim of improving UAT efficiency and coverage.
Validating system enhancements against business expectations, tracking and managing defects from creation to closure, and ensuring project delivery compliance with relevant policies and guidelines.
Providing regular updates on UAT progress, automation coverage, backlog status, defect trends, and operational issues to project stakeholders, and continuously identifying opportunities to improve the UAT process and automation framework.

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in an equivalent role, with demonstrable involvement in UAT or software testing activities.
A Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Business/Data Analytics, Project Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
Strong planning, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to effectively engage and provide updates to both technical and business stakeholders across all levels.
Proficiency in requirement gathering, requirement analysis, business process mapping, and the preparation of requirement specifications, flowcharts, and logical diagrams, with a focus on ensuring requirements are clear, complete, and testable.
Leveraging SDLC and testing best practices to iteratively deliver, validate, and enhance product outcomes.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools such as Tricentis Tosca, Selenium, or equivalent platforms, with the ability to independently design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional and regression testing.
