Job Purpose
The Islamic Wealth Management Specialist plays a pivotal role in providing expert Islamic financial advisory services, managing client portfolios, and contributing to the growth of Islamic Wealth Management business. This position requires a deep understanding of Islamic wealth principles, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to delivering tailored financial solutions aligned with Shariah principles.
- Provide timely market updates and accurate product information to clients and stakeholders. This includes interpretation and forecasting of economic data, translating
- them into actionable trade or product ideas, and sourcing of IWM investment products
- Proactive engagement with assigned Relationship Managers to identify New-to-Product clients
- Portfolio counseling to clients (market views, trade ideas, explanation of products) by cooperating with RMs on joint client meetings, and preparing investment proposals
- Provide regular review on clients investments portfolio
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal compliance policies as applicable
- Conduct continuing education for RMs IWM solutions.
Job Description
Client Engagement
- Build and nurture strong client relationships by understanding their financial objectives and providing personalized Islamic Wealth Management advice.
- Conduct regular client meetings to review portfolios, address inquiries, and ensure client satisfaction
- Creating awareness and education on IWM solutions
Business Development
- Contribute to the growth of Islamic Wealth Management business by identifying new business opportunities and expanding client base.
- Identifying potential new clients and organizations and working with them to build up a relationship with the goal of managing their wealth.
- Collaborate with Private, Premier & Privilege CAs & RMs in home markets to promote Islamic wealth products and services
Islamic Wealth Advisory
- Develop and manage Islamic investment portfolios, considering clients risk tolerance, financial goals, and adherence to Shariah principles
- Offer comprehensive Islamic wealth advice, ensuring that recommended strategies align with Shariah principles and regulatory requirements
- Stay informed about the latest developments in Islamic Wealth to provide up-to-date guidance
- Monitor market trends and adjust portfolios to optimize performance
Compliance and regulatory adherence
- Carry out all levels of work within the existing audit, compliance, and regulatory framework in order to ensure a high quality, compliance IWM product suite
Job Requirement
- Tertiary education, degree holder in Finance or Business or Islamic Banking preferred.
- Preferably 3-5 years of experience in Islamic Wealth Management or related financial advisory roles
- Well versed in wealth advisory and in 5 pillars of IWM especially Pillar 4 & 5
- Related CMFAS papers are a necessity - M1, M5, M6, M6A, M8, M9 & M9A. Certification in Islamic Finance (e.g. CIMA, CIFE, CIFP) is highly desirable
- A performance driven individual and exhibit strong interpersonal, communication skills and good at tele-consulting
- Possess strong interest in and understanding of economics and financial markets; particular in the Islamic Wealth Management
- Mature and independent mindset, able to work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team oriented environment
- Client oriented, pleasant, meticulous and obliging disposition
