Job Description

This is a senior-level IT Network Engineer role focused on high-pressure incident management, troubleshooting, and vendor management within a Financial Services Industry (FSI) environment. It requires strong knowledge of enterprise networks (Firewall/Router/Proxy), ITIL/ITSM processes, and compliance, often involving shift work.

Key Responsibilities for IP Network Engineer:

1. Incident Management: Manage L1/L2 network escalations, security incidents, and critical network outages to minimize business impact.

2. Troubleshooting: Identify root causes for complex network problems by working with infrastructure teams and vendors.

3. Compliance & Audit: Adhere to banking policies, document audit workpapers/findings, and manage compliance/due diligence.

4. Operational Support: Handle change management, vendor assessments, and knowledge management systems.

5. Technical Skills: Deep knowledge of Enterprise Networks (Firewalls, Routers, Proxies, LAN/WAN, TCP/IP).

6. Experience: Previous experience in FSI/banking environments and ITIL processes is highly preferred.

7. Certifications: CCNP, or equivalent network certifications are a plus.

This position requires a Diploma/Bachelor's in Engineering or Computer Science and in-depth knowledge of networking fundamentals (routing, switching, VLANs, OSPF, BGP). Candidates need hands-on troubleshooting experience with routers and switches and strong analytical skills. Familiarity with VXLAN, Cisco ACI, or SDWAN is highly preferred.

1. Key Requirements & Skills:

Networking Concepts: Strong knowledge of LAN/WAN, STP, HSRP, ARP, VLANs, OSPF, and BGP.

Troubleshooting: Advanced hands-on experience in diagnosing complex network problems and isolating root causes.

Advanced Technologies: Knowledge of SDN, SDWAN, Cisco ACI, or VXLAN is an advantage.

Skills: Logical thinking, problem analysis, and documentation skills.

2. Enhanced Qualifications with Huawei Knowledge:

Huawei Routing & Switching: Hands-on experience with Huawei AR routers and S-series switches (e.g., S5700, S6700) and VRP operating system.

Protocol Expertise: In-depth knowledge of Huawei's implementation of OSPF, BGP, STP/RSTP, and VLAN configuration.

Advanced Technologies: Familiarity with Huawei CloudCampus solutions, SD-WAN, and VXLAN/EVPN for data center networking.

Troubleshooting: Ability to troubleshoot Huawei equipment using CLI, checking logs, and using tools to resolve network performance issues.

3. Education: Diploma or Bachelor's in Engineering/Computer Science.

4. Preferred Qualifications: CCNP or equivalent industry certifications. Experience with Wireshark and network monitoring tools.
