Job Role
The IoT Specialist will work closely with business users, vendors, and stakeholders to design, implement, and operate secure, scalable IoT/OT solutions. The role involves end-to-end system architecture, cybersecurity risk assessment, cloud and IoT platform integration, and ongoing operational support.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage business users to gather, analyze, and validate business requirements and IoT use cases.
- Translate business requirements into end-to-end system architectures and technical designs.
- Conduct cybersecurity and connectivity risk assessments, providing guidance on secure IoT/OT system integration.
- Lead IoT projects in collaboration with business users, vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery and long-term sustainability.
- Develop, implement, and maintain operational processes to ensure the reliability, availability, and security of IoT devices and systems.
- Perform system administration duties for highly available ICT infrastructure, including monitoring, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting, system recovery, and regular patching and updates.
- Provide technical leadership through innovation, research, and evaluation of emerging IoT, OT, and cloud technologies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure all solutions comply with HDB requirements and standards.
- Perform other IoT/OT-related duties as assigned by supervisors.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience in IoT, cloud, or related technologies.
- Strong experience in development and deployment on commercial cloud platforms, preferably Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Experience with Data Lake and Data Warehouse technologies.
- Solid understanding of loosely coupled architectures, microservices, and application integration patterns, with the ability to design scalable and resilient systems.
- Exposure to cloud-native and DevOps tools, such as Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and Machine Learning/Analytics services.
- Good understanding of Secure-by-Design lifecycle principles for cloud platforms and IoT devices.
- Hands-on knowledge of IoT/OT protocols.
- Experience in IoT/OT device management, provisioning, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
