About Global Payment
The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.
Our Web and Client team in Global Payment is committed to building a highly integrated payment product that can be easily connected to the Web, App, cross-platform and other forms of Global Payment capabilities. In addition, we provide efficient and comprehensive services to developers, merchants and others through a series of platforms.
We are looking for talented individuals to join us for an internship in 2026. Internships at ByteDance aim to offer students industry exposure and hands-on experience. Watch your ambitions become reality as your inspiration brings infinite opportunities at ByteDance.
Candidates can apply to a maximum of two positions and will be considered for jobs in the order you apply. The application limit is applicable to ByteDance and its affiliates&apos jobs globally.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis - we encourage you to apply early. Successful candidates must be able to commit to at least 3 months long internship period.
Successful candidates must be able to commit to either of the following Internships
- From January to June (onboard by 12 Jan 2026)
- From May to August (onboard by 11 May 2026)
Candidates who pass resume screening will be invited to participate in ByteDance&aposs technical online assessment.
Responsibilities:
- Architect and develop efficient and highly reusable iOS applications;
- Build modular, reusable components and features for iOS platforms;
- Focus on rendering performance to ensure superior experience for a highly interactive mobile application;
- Continuously work to bolster iOS application design and implementation processes to improve quality and efficiency;
- Optimize code to improve scalability, reliability, security, and performance of iOS applications;
- Collaborate with product design, product management, and software engineering teams to deliver best-in-class user experience on iOS devices.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline;
- Experienced in iOS development technologies, such as Swift, Objective-C, and familiarity with Xcode;
- Familiar with key iOS development concepts like MVC/MVVM architecture, Core Data, Core Animation, and Auto Layout;
- Knowledgeable about networking and integrating third-party libraries and APIs into iOS applications;
- Good understanding of the Apple Human Interface Guidelines and best practices for iOS development;
- Agile, quick self-learner, highly self-motivated with a strong sense of product ownership and creative problem-solving skills;
- Deeply passionate about software coding/development and building great mobile applications for iOS;
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant internship experience with hands on exposure to the tech stack
- Interested in payment industry
