Stone Bench Capital is a Singapore-based, MAS-licensed Hedge Fund. We specialize in identifying high-chance of profitable opportunities across Korea, Hong Kong, Japan, and the US, with a focus on IPOs, Block Deals, and Event-Driven strategies. We are looking for a Research Analyst to support Investment research and portfolio management operations by leveraging AI-based IT systems.

Responsibilities

Your primary goal is to maximize efficiency in Research and Operations using AI/Tech, and to support our multi-market investment strategies.

1. AI-Driven System Development & Research

• Leverage AI tools to automate data gathering, market monitoring, and reporting processes.
• Build and maintain systems that extract high-quality insights from raw market data.
• Conduct analysis on Deep-Tech sectors (AI, Energy, Robotics, Biotech, Space) across the US and China.
• Note: IT capability (coding/AI utilization) is prioritized over traditional finance knowledge.

2. Investment Analysis & IR

• Research Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan IPO/Pre-IPO companies.
• Participate in IR meetings and draft investment memos.
• Analyze equity investment opportunities in Hong Kong (China), Japan, and the US.

3. Fund Operations Support

• Manage daily operations for funds investing in Korea, Hong Kong, and Japan (IPO, Block Deal, Event-Driven).
• Support trade execution, settlement, and fund reporting.

Requirements

• Fresh Graduates or candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience (ECM, Equity Research, Equity Sales, Equity Investment, Event-Driven Investment).
• Engineering or Science background is strongly preferred
• Must be proficient in IT development using AI (e.g., Python, LLM integration, Data Scraping/Automation).
• Language: Fluent in English and Mandarin (Mandatory for analyzing Greater China markets and communicating with stakeholders)
• Singaporean or Singapore Permanent Resident (PR) ONLY.
