Reporting to the Head of ASEAN, your primary responsibilities will include conducting fundamental and industry research for the ASEAN equities team. Translating the analyses into actionable recommendations at the Macro (Investment Strategy) and Micro (stock selection) level, you will need to proactively communicate your thesis/ ideas to the portfolio managers and other team members through discussions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with public company management teams, as well as cross-check with competitors, suppliers, customers and industry contacts to reach an informed investment recommendation, ideas which form the basis for financial services sector investments for the Asian Equities team
- Maintain coverage of good quality stocks with investment ratings, target prices and reports; and maintain shadow coverage of stocks, i.e. monitor without producing reports
- As part of the ASEAN team, you will be called upon to provide general market views and views of major sectors or segments if required, as well as answer to specific requests
- Attend the various investment-related meetings and present if required, and support marketing activities through participation in client meetings, joint marketing trips and presentations when requested
- Maintain all necessary systems and processes to support Asian Equity team.
Job Requirements:
- Recognized and relevant Degree/CFA is preferred (fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
- Internship experience in a relevant field within asset management or a financial institution is an added advantage
- Self-starter and independent
- Pro-active with initiative
- Proficient in MS Office
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Fast learner who is self-motivated and an excellent team player with a can-do attitude
