Investment Project Manager (Contract) | Insurance / Asset Management

We are seeking an experienced Investment Project Manager to support strategic investment integration and transformation initiatives within a leading insurance and asset management environment. This role will work closely with Investment, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to drive integration projects, enhance governance frameworks, and ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate will bring excellent investment domain expertise, exceptional stakeholder management skills, and a proven track record in delivering complex investment-related projects.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management & Integration Delivery

• Lead and manage end-to-end investment integration planning and implementation activities.
• Develop, maintain, and execute project plans, timelines, milestones, and governance frameworks.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation plans to ensure timely project delivery.
• Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams and stakeholders.
• Conduct project reviews and prepare detailed reports and updates for senior management and governance committees.
• Oversee all project documentation, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established standards.

Stakeholder Management & Collaboration

• Collaborate with Investment, Risk, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to assess business impacts and future-state requirements.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to formulate and execute integration strategies.
• Build and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Manage ongoing communication and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
• Liaise with external parties including fund managers, custodians, banking counterparties, and other service providers.

Investment Operations & Governance

• Work closely with investment teams to ensure smooth execution of integration initiatives.
• Develop and enhance investment governance frameworks, policies, and standards related to integration projects.
• Support improvements in investment processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives, regulatory requirements, and operational processes.

Strategic Transformation

• Drive initiatives that strengthen investment processes, governance, and operational effectiveness.
• Provide recommendations on investment operating models, oversight frameworks, and process enhancements.
• Support organizational change and transformation programs impacting investment management and operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Accounting, Investment Management, Actuarial Science, or a related discipline.
• Professional certifications such as CFA, CAIA, FRM, or actuarial qualifications will be advantageous.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in insurance, asset management, investment management, or insurance-linked asset management environments.
• Proven experience managing complex investment projects, integration programs, or business transformation initiatives.
• Good understanding of portfolio management, investment governance, analytics, oversight, and investment processes.
• Experience working with institutional and multi-asset investment portfolios.

Technical Knowledge

• Good knowledge of investment asset classes, including: Fixed Income, Equities, Derivatives, Alternative Investments, Multi-Asset Portfolios
• Good understanding of investment operations, trade lifecycle management, custody, valuation, settlements, and reporting processes.
• Familiarity with investment systems and platforms will be a plus
