Job Summary:

Fixed Income and Multi-Asset within Asia are seen as key elements of Schroders strategy for growth. The Product team is part of the overall Fixed Income and Multi-Asset investment team and takes responsibility for managing the business of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset, allowing the fund managers to focus on investing. It provides a bridge between the investment and sales teams, helping to support and grow our Fixed Income and Multi-Asset business, and is also the main point of contact with the marketing and product development teams. The Product team is involved in a wide range of activities, including proactive engagement with clients on performance, positioning, and market outlook, in addition to client reporting and servicing, new pitches and being the experts to whom the rest of Schroders will revert for enquiries on the capabilities and services of Fixed Income and Multi-Asset. The Investment Product Analyst role is based in Singapore and will cover the Southeast Asia region, while working with the rest of the broader regional Asia team.

This role is designed for an experienced product professional (c. 5 years) with Fixed Income experience who can operate with a high degree of independence. On top of business-as-usual reporting responsibilities, the successful candidate is also expected to own product narratives, respond confidently to client and consultant queries, and proactively help develop thought leadership and market content.

Key Responsibilities:

The role is based in Singapore and will cover Asia clients primarily.

The key responsibilities focus on:

(a) Product and Client Support

  • Client reports and review presentations - Provide regular updates of market and portfolio performance, as well as portfolio investment strategy, for distribution to existing clients.
  • Handle ad hoc client queries independently
  • Product material - Ensure all regular Fixed Income and Multi-Asset product presentations and fund updates are produced for distribution to sales channels.
  • Product profiles - Maintain detailed specifications for each product and take the lead in creating content and marketing literature for sales channels.
  • Ad hoc reporting - Support sales and client service teams in responding to client queries.

(b) New Business Development

  • RFP ownership - Ensure RFPs are completed with the highest standards possible and tailored to clients needs.
  • Client Pitches - Assist in the development of tailored presentations, investment narratives, and competitor framing for client pitches.
  • Product Map and pitch books - Own and deliver high quality client materials across the Fixed Income and Multi-Asset product suite (pitch books, fund updates, portfolio reviews).
  • Ad hoc market and portfolio content - Produce and contribute to thought leadership, market and portfolio content in partnership with portfolio managers and investment directors.
  • Peer analysis - Maintain an informed view of competitors and market landscape to understand evolving client demands and peer positioning.

(c) Business Management

  • New business support - Maintain and analyse AUM, fund flows and business profitability relating to the Fixed Income and Multi-Asset investment desks.
  • Risk monitoring - Conduct risk oversight and reporting, ensure all files are maintained.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field professional certifications (e.g. CFA or equivalent) are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience within the asset management industry, preferably with a focus on fixed income.
  • Strong understanding of public fixed income investment strategies, products, and the broader Asia fixed income markets.
