Investment Analysis and Research:
- Lead analysis of investment opportunities across various asset classes including equities, fixed income, real estate, and alternative investments.
- Research and evaluate potential investments based on their risk-return profile, market trends, and financial performance.
- Generate investment ideas and optimize investment processes.
- Formulate and implement the investment strategies with a focus on alpha generation and attractive risk-adjusted returns through various market cycles.
- Prepare detailed investment memos and presentations for the Investment Committee.
Fund and Portfolio Management:
- Oversee a portfolio of institution-sized capital, ensuring optimal asset allocation and risk management.
- Assist in managing the family office's investment portfolio, including asset allocation, rebalancing, and performance tracking.
- Monitor the portfolio's performance and recommend adjustments to optimize returns and manage risks.
Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain relationships with external investment managers, advisors, and service providers.
- Ensure alignment of investment objectives by co-ordinating with team members, internal stakeholders and the ultimate beneficial owner.
Due Diligence:
- Design and lead due diligence on investment managers, funds, and direct investments to ensure alignment with the family office's investment strategy and risk tolerance.
- Evaluate legal, financial, and operational aspects of potential investments.
Reporting and Compliance:
- Keep abreast of market developments, economic indicators and regulatory changes whilst regularly updating senior management and stakeholders on fund performance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal controls.
Continuous Learning and Development:
- Stay updated with industry trends, market developments, and investment strategies.
- Continuously improve investment analysis techniques and methodologies.
Other Responsibilities:
- Lead in special projects and initiatives related to the investment function of the family office.
- Support the Investment Committee in setting investment policies and strategies.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years experience across bulge bracket FIG investment banking and/or buy side.
- Proven leadership skills in managing a small, impactful and results driven team
- Strong knowledge of the fundamentals of financial institutions and regulated industries, with proven track records of transactions
- Familiarity with family office investment practices and principles is a plus.
