Investment Manager (Oil & Gas M&A)

We are partnering with an established energy organization seeking a Investment Manager to support corporate strategy and investment activities.

In this role, you will be involved in project evaluation, financial analysis, and investment due diligence, supporting key strategic initiatives across the organization. You will work closely with internal business units and senior stakeholders to provide commercial insights, financial modelling, and investment recommendations that support long-term growth.

This is a strong opportunity for professionals with experience in corporate investment, consulting, or energy project evaluation who are looking to deepen their exposure within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support investment evaluations, project due diligence, and financial valuation for potential and existing energy projects.
• Assist with investment negotiations and internal approval processes in coordination with headquarters.
• Develop financial models and commercial analysis to support investment decision-making.
• Work closely with business units to provide economic assessments and strategic insights for business initiatives.
• Support corporate-level business development and investment planning activities.
• Monitor project performance and identify potential financial or operational risks.
• Prepare reports and presentations to support internal management and headquarters reporting requirements.
• Contribute to sustainability initiatives and reporting frameworks aligned with corporate strategy.
• Partner with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and strategy teams to support project execution and investment planning.
• Assist with ad-hoc analysis and strategic initiatives as required.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in corporate investment, project evaluation, or consulting environments.
• Exposure to energy sector investments or infrastructure projects will be advantageous.
• Strong financial modelling, analytical, and report writing skills.
• Professional qualifications such as CFA, CPA, or CA will be an added advantage.
• Highly organised, resourceful, and able to collaborate effectively across teams.
