Job Description
Investment Research & Portfolio Management
- Conduct fundamental research and valuation across equities, fixed income, credit and ETFs, including companies, sectors, macro and external funds.
- Prepare investment proposals and Investment Committee papers
- Support portfolio construction, asset allocation and position sizing and coordinate trade execution with brokers.
- Monitor performance, exposures, liquidity and drawdowns produce attribution, scenario and stress analysis.
- Perform due diligence and ongoing monitoring of external fund managers and ETFs.
Investor Engagement
- Support fund-raising and investor meetings, presenting portfolio positioning, performance and market views.
- Prepare investor presentations, commentaries and due-diligence questionnaires responses using approved information.
- Work with Investor Relations on capital-raising refer advice, suitability and complaints to authorised personnel.
Fund Platform Setup & Operations (Interim)
- Coordinate VCC sub-fund setup and launch with administrators, custodian, legal, auditors, tax advisers and Compliance.
- Serve as day-to-day contact for the fund administrator on dealing, subscriptions/redemptions, distributions, Net Asset Value production and reconciliations.
- Coordinate investor onboarding and Know Your Client and Anti Money Laundering with Compliance and the administrator.
- Maintain the fund operating calendar, procedures and checklists support audits, financial statements, regulatory filings and handover to a dedicated Fund Operations hire.
Investment Process, Data & AI Enablement
- Build and maintain research databases, financial models, dashboards and analytical tools.
- Apply data analytics, automation and AI-enabled research tools, with source verification, data security and human review.
- Contribute to investment process design and research standards mentor junior analyst.
Governance & Decision-Making
- Make investment recommendations decisions are approved by the Head of Portfolio Management and/or Investment Committee
- Coordinate fund operations without authority to approve NAVs, valuations of recommended positions, payments or onboarding - these sit with independent authorised signatories.
- Comply with compliance, personal-account dealing, conflicts-of-interest and confidentiality policies use AI only within approved governance policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a quantitative discipline
- CFA, CAIA or an equivalent qualification is advantageous candidates progressing towards one will be considered
- Ability to meet MAS fit-and-proper and representative requirements for appointment under SIM's Capital Markets Services licence
- 6-10 years in asset management, family offices, private banking investment advisory or related investment roles
- Direct experience in multi-asset portfolio analysis or management across equities, fixed income, ETFs and external funds
- Experience preparing Investment Committee papers and presenting to investors or senior stakeholders
- Exposure to fund operations, fund administration, fund launches or Singapore VCCs is advantageous
