Investment Consultant

About the Role

Reporting within the CIO Office, this role supports investment management, insurance product solutioning, and strategic business growth initiatives.

You will work at the intersection of investments and insurance, partnering closely with stakeholders across Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Finance, Risk, and Investment teams. The role combines portfolio analysis, investment governance, and reporting responsibilities with the design and implementation of investment solutions that support product innovation and business growth.

This is an opportunity for an investment professional with strong analytical capabilities and commercial acumen to influence investment strategy while helping drive customer and business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct portfolio analysis, performance monitoring, and investment reviews across assigned asset classes, identifying key drivers, trends, risks, and opportunities.
• Prepare management reports, investment insights, and presentations for senior stakeholders, ensuring information is accurate, timely, and actionable.
• Support investment governance activities, including portfolio monitoring, mandate oversight, regulatory reporting, and internal compliance requirements.
• Contribute to enhancements in investment processes, reporting frameworks, data management, and operating controls.
• Partner with Product, Actuarial, Distribution, Finance, Risk, and other stakeholders to support insurance product development and strategic business initiatives.
• Develop and assess investment solutions for new and existing insurance products, balancing return objectives with risk, liquidity, capital, accounting, and operational considerations.
• Translate business requirements into investment strategies and portfolio solutions that support product competitiveness and sustainable growth.
• Support end-to-end implementation of investment-related product initiatives, working with internal teams, AIA Group stakeholders, asset managers, and external service providers.
• Provide investment-related insights, training, and communication materials to business stakeholders and distribution teams.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or a related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience within the investment, insurance, asset management, actuarial or other financial services environments.
• Ability to communicate technical investment concepts effectively to both investment and non-investment stakeholders.
• Strong presentation and writing skills, including experience preparing materials for senior management and investment-related product training content.
