Bank of China Limited, Singapore Branch (BOCSG) is looking to hire a member in its Investment Banking Department(IBD), under the branch's Investment Banking Division (IB Division). In this job you will play an active advisory role in the origination, structuring and execution of event driven, transformational, complex and multi-product financing solutions as part of the Investment Banking Division which comprises of M&A, Equity Capital Markets, Debt Capital Markets and Capital Advisory. The Division provides strategic advice across the capital structure on fundraising options to BOCSG's highest tier of Singapore, SEA, and Greater China clients across all sectors, working alongside with relationship managers and the various product teams to structure, originate and execute investment banking transactions.
IBD captures the most strategic, complex and multi-product opportunities for our corporate or FI clients, often transformational in nature as part of an event driven M&A, large investment, restructuring or sector thematic occurrence (ie Covid, Trade-war, etc). Transformational situations including multi-product merger and acquisitions, major refinancing, balance sheet restructurings, take-over defence situations, pre-IPO and post-IPO financings and strategic capital investments. These types of dynamic situations often require a swift response and a strong sense for the inherent sensitivities of all stakeholders.

Part of Singapore based IBD team that is an integral part of the broader IBD team, that includes Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance.
Current IBD platform is strong, providing an excellent platform for further growth and innovation. IBD acts as a product neutral coordinator in multi-product transactions, in close cooperation with the relationship managers and various product specialists.
Requirements:
Knowledge and experience:
- 5 year of experience in Investment Banking, Corporate Finance or Strategic Advisory
Demonstrated experience in the SGX IPO submission process, with full deal life cycle responsibility
- Outstanding analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and financial databases (i.e. LSEG Workspace, Mergermarket, etc.)
- Client-ready data visualisation skill and detail-oriented
- Ability to work effectively and perform in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Fluent in English with a strong preference for fluency in Mandarin as the role requires the candidate to liaise with clients base in Greater China
- Education: university degree preferably in banking & finance, accounting economics or equivalent
