The Role
The Investment Associate will support the Global Infrastructure & Real Assets investment team at a global infrastructure private equity firm, based in Singapore. The position covers transaction support across deal execution, asset management, and related projects. Deal types include GP-led secondaries, LP portfolio secondaries, co-investments, and primary fund selection.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate investment opportunities through financial modelling and due diligence.
- Prepare and present investment recommendations to the Investment Committee.
- Assist with deal closing processes alongside the Investment Structuring Team and legal counsel.
- Attend GP and company board meetings, industry events, and counterparty meetings to represent the team and maintain relationships.
- Monitor and assist in the management of existing portfolio companies and investments.
- Support client and fundraising requests and participate in related meetings.
- Conduct market and sector research for pitchbooks, client materials, and external publications.
Required Experience And Skills
- Two to four years of deal experience in infrastructure and real assets, private equity, investment banking, consulting, corporate development, or a related field.
- Strong financial modelling skills, including the ability to read financial statements and calculate key financial metrics.
- Ability to take initiative and manage significant responsibility with limited supervision.
- Capable of working to tight deadlines and handling multiple workstreams simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and relationship-building skills, both internally and with external counterparties including GPs, clients, brokers, consultants, and management teams.
- Attention to detail and willingness to travel on a varying basis.
