The White Oak Group is a boutique investment manager with US$11B in AUM managed along a long-term, bottom-up stock selection philosophy underpinned by disciplined fundamental research. The group was founded in 2017 by Prashant Khemka, former CIO and Lead Portfolio Manager of the India and Global Emerging Markets Equity strategies at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, with the vision of building a performance-centric organization with a strong investment culture. We have offices in Singapore, Mumbai, Madrid, Mauritius, London and Zurich.

Role & Responsibilities

The Investment Associate role will entail working closely with a high-performing investment team to deliver exceptional returns for our clients through a long-term, bottom-up investment approach and would include the following responsibilities:

• Industry research including peer analysis, modelling of supply, demand, and profit pools.
• Bottom-up research of stocks and businesses.
• Conducting meetings with management team.
• Valuation of stocks using a proprietary analytical model.
• Building and maintaining valuation models.
• Ongoing monitoring of existing ideas.
• Travel to meet companies and perform channel checks.

Requirements

• Excellent academic qualifications in any discipline and a passion for investing.
• 0-5 years of relevant experience.
• High level of interpersonal, presentation and written communication skills.
• Abilityto work well within diverse teams and collaborate across multiple stakeholders.
• Familiar with use of appropriate electronic data sources (e.g. Bloomberg, Factiva, Capital IQ, etc) for business and industry information research and productivity tools.
