Job Description

China Alpha Fund Management (HK) Limited is a fast growing and experienced investment advisory and asset management company in Hong Kong. As a Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission licensed corporation (Type 4 & Type 9), we are the investment adviser to some leading Greater China equity focus hedge funds. We have established our Singapore Office, China Alpha Fund Management Pte. Ltd. in 2022 and is a MAS licensed Fund Manager since 2023. We are looking for a high caliber and driven individual to join our Singapore team in the below position.

Title: Investment Analyst - Oil & Gas

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct fundamental research on oil & gas sector
Develop detailed financial models, prepare investment memo / research report and generate investment ideas to Portfolio Managers
Monitor key macro-economic events and news flows to form a view on the market
Research various investment opportunities assigned by Portfolio Managers.

Requirements:

Degree holder in Finance, Economics, Accounting or related disciplines
Must have at least 2-3 years or above relevant research experience in buy-side within hedge fund industry
Candidates with previous work experience in the oil & gas companies are highly preferred.
Strong financial analysis, research and modeling skills
Highly proficient in using AI tools to optimize daily workflows and writing program code using AI to automate data analytics and research
Numeric-sensitive with passion in financial sector
Strong interpersonal, communication and time-management skills
Self-starter with positive attitude and a good team player
Proficient in both written and spoken English and Chinese
Perform ad hoc duties as assigned.
