Investment Analyst, Equities

Role Summary

This is an Investment Analyst role based in Singapore, the individual will be part of the Equities team under the Investment Group. The analyst will be part of research team and will be supporting global equity team to cover global stocks in US and Europe. The sectors this individual will be covering includes, but not restricted to, the consumer sector and energy/utilities sector.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Generate and carry out research strategies for the assigned markets that support the firm's overall investment approach.
• Able to work independently and operate with self-guidance in navigating domain expertise.
• Write clear, insightful, and practical research reports to guide investment decisions and to help generate alpha.
• Analyse individual stocks and sectors and provide well-supported recommendations.
• Perform fundamental stock analysis, forecast company earnings and DCF
• Publish reports and provide regular and ad hoc update to the team on the stocks under coverage
• Work closely with portfolio managers, traders, and other teams to make sure research supports investment strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with company leaders, industry experts, and regulators to gather relevant insights.
• Track how research recommendations perform and improve methods based on results and market feedback.
• Contribute to the research team initiatives and projects.

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's degree
• Preferably a CFA charter holder

Experience and Skills

• 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in the equities investment, preferably familiar with the consumer and/or energy/utilities sectors
• Solid fundamental bottom-up research analysis skills
• Good team player who embraces a collaborative and open working culture aligned with Fullerton's core values
• Willing to speak up and challenge the status quo
• Results oriented, able to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Good written and verbal communication skills
