Position Overview

Look Capital is seeking an Investment Advisor to support clients in evaluating and executing private market investments, particularly in primary market opportunities.

The role focuses on conducting due diligence on potential portfolio companies, supporting investment evaluation, and assisting clients throughout the investment process. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in private equity, venture capital, or investment banking, with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to assess early- to growth-stage companies.

Key Responsibilities

Investment Due Diligence

• Conduct comprehensive due diligence on potential portfolio companies, including business model analysis, market positioning, financial performance, and growth prospects

• Review company materials such as financial statements, pitch decks, and data room documents

• Identify key risks, investment highlights, and critical considerations for investment decisions

• Prepare investment memos and due diligence reports for internal review and client discussions

Investment Evaluation

• Perform industry research and competitive landscape analysis to support investment decisions

• Build and review financial models and valuation frameworks for private market investments

• Evaluate deal structures, investment terms, and potential exit scenarios

Client Investment Support

• Work closely with Relationship Managers to support clients in evaluating private market investment opportunities

• Prepare client-facing investment materials and present key insights on potential investments

• Assist clients in understanding the investment rationale, risks, and return profiles

Investment Execution Support

• Assist in coordinating the investment process, including document review and transaction support

• Liaise with external partners such as fund managers, investment platforms, and advisors

• Support post-investment monitoring and maintain documentation related to investments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above in Finance, Economics, Business, or related disciplines

• 5-10 years of experience in venture capital, private equity, investment banking, or investment advisory roles

• Experience conducting due diligence on private companies or investment opportunities

• Strong analytical, financial modeling, and investment evaluation skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with family offices, asset managers, or private market investment platforms

• Familiarity with venture capital and growth-stage investments

• Experience preparing investment memos and presenting investment opportunities to clients
