Job Description

Investment Adviser / Consultant

Avallis Investments holds a full Capital Markets Services (CMS) licence and specialises in External Asset Management (EAM), Portfolio Management and Fund Management.

We serve a discerning client base comprising High Net Worth and Ultra High Net Worth Individuals, Institutional Investors and Family Offices. As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an experienced and client-focused Investment Adviser / Consultant to join our team.

Role Overview

As an Investment Adviser / Consultant, you will work closely with our Relationship Managers and report to the Chief Investment Officer. You will play a key role in providing investment advice, portfolio recommendations, trade ideas and market insights to clients, supported by in-depth financial market analysis.

The ideal candidate should have strong capital markets knowledge, hands-on experience in analysing and selecting equities and bonds, and the ability to support trading and portfolio recommendations across different market conditions. You should be analytical, commercially minded, client-focused and comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality investment advisory services to private wealth clients, including the formulation of investment strategies and portfolio recommendations.
  • Analyse global financial markets, macroeconomic trends and investment opportunities to support client portfolio decisions.
  • Identify, evaluate and recommend suitable equity and fixed income investment opportunities, including listed equities, bonds and other approved investment instruments.
  • Execute trades and implement portfolios in line with clients investment objectives, risk profiles, and approved strategies.
  • Assess clients investment objectives, risk tolerance, time horizon, liquidity needs and return expectations.
  • Develop and maintain investment policy statements and portfolio strategies aligned with clients goals.
  • Deliver timely investment ideas, trade recommendations and market updates to Relationship Managers and clients.
  • Review portfolio performance and recommend adjustments where appropriate.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing regular portfolio updates, market views and investment insights.
  • Ensure investment activities comply with applicable regulatory requirements, internal policies, investor disclosures, privacy obligations, anti-money laundering rules and anti-fraud measures.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners and counterparties, including private banks, brokers, investment banks, custodian banks and trustees.

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Banking or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an investment advisory, portfolio advisory, wealth management, trading or similar role.
  • Proven ability and hands-on experience in analysing, selecting and trading equities and bonds.
  • Strong understanding of capital markets, asset classes, investment products, portfolio construction and asset allocation.
  • Good knowledge of equity valuation, fixed income analysis, credit risk, liquidity, duration, yield movements and market drivers.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret financial markets and identify suitable investment opportunities.
  • Client-focused, with strong relationship management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with Relationship Managers, investment teams, clients and external counterparties.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, keen sense of urgency and high standards of professional and personal integrity.
  • Relevant regulatory qualifications and experience in private wealth, EAM platforms or multi-asset advisory would be advantageous.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to work with sophisticated private wealth, institutional and family office clients.
  • Exposure to a broad range of global investment products, asset classes and portfolio strategies.
  • Collaborative work environment with direct access to senior management and investment decision-makers.
  • A growing platform with strong regional ambitions.

Interested candidates are invited to submit their CV and expected remuneration for consideration.

This version positions the role more clearly as an actual investment advisory and product selection role, not just a client-servicing or market-commentary role.
