Inventory Accountant (MNC, Manufacturing, Central Region)

Main Responsibilities

• Financial Closing & Reporting: Lead the monthly inventory closing process, ensuring all data is accurate and deadlines are met. This includes preparing inventory aging reports and reconciling them with the Trial Balance.

• System Integrity: Manage the interface between Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems (Oracle/SAP). Responsible for reconciling quantities and resolving any data discrepancies between these platforms.

• Costing & Valuation: Perform Goods-in-Transit (GIT) accruals (freight, duties, etc.), analyze inventory costing, and ensure accurate valuations and impairment assessments.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Supply Chain teams to troubleshoot variances, monitor physical stock movements across centers, and support inventory forecasting.

• Audit & Compliance: Assist with annual physical stock counts and prepare documentation/schedules for internal and external audit requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant professional qualification.

• 3+ years of specialized experience in inventory accounting or auditing.

• Hands-on experience with ERP systems (Oracle/SAP) and WMS.

• Advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, data analysis).

• Strong grasp of US GAAP and inventory costing methodologies.

• High attention to detail, ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines, and strong problem-solving capabilities.
