About the job

Join us at the Singapore Environment Council (SEC), a non-profit and non-governmental organisation (NGO) dedicated to driving sustainable change since 1995. As the only recognised member of the Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN) in Singapore and an approved Institution of Public Character (IPC), we play a key role in advancing sustainability standards and empowering communities.

Through our programme collaboration with NWCDC, Green Homes @ NWCDC, we encourage households to adopt greener lifestyles by recognising the use of energy-efficient appliances and rewarding sustainable practices.

As part of the Outreach, Training & Education team, you'll get hands-on experience engaging with the community, supporting home audits, and creating meaningful impact for local communities. This is your chance to contribute to Singapore's sustainability journey while gaining valuable experiences.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist in conducting home visits for Green Homes audits
  2. Compile audit photos and submit audit reports in the given template
  3. Verification of audit reports submitted by volunteer auditors
  4. Support data entry for new applications and audit results
  5. Provide additional support to the Outreach team as assigned
  6. Develop or update training materials for volunteer auditor when required
  7. Liaise with volunteer auditors when assigned (eg: following up for updates, submission of monthly stipends, etc...)

Requirements

  • 5 working days, 6 hours per day, 9 am - 4 pm (inclusive of 1-hour lunch)
  • Strong interest in sustainability and community outreach.
  • Comfortable conducting home visits (training will be provided).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Responsible, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Willing to work on weekends when required.
  • Possesses a mobile phone with camera function (for audit photos).
