Purpose
Reporting to the Global Segment and Specification Development Manager, you will join an international team of three specification managers to collaborate with designers, consultants and key accounts as an expert in low voltage power applications, products and services for your region. The international team animates the global community of more than 30 local design consultant specialists (DCS), and promotes collaboration between local and international specifiers to support the specification influence within our key and targeted segments.
This position involves international travel (40-50% of your working time) to work in close collaboration with local specification teams within Asia Pacific (South Asia Pacific, India and China) as well as occasional travel to the Socomec HQ in Benfeld, France.
The position is based in Asia, ideally in Singapore.
Responsibilities
- Deploy the international specification strategy in APAC for key strategic segments of the group, commercial and industrial building, healthcare, infrastructure, energy and with a particular focus on data center.
- Contribute to the definition of the specification sales performance plan, pilot and measure its implementation through KPI's, and support local specifiers and sales for your relevant geographic area.
- Facilitate international collaboration between key account managers, local specifiers, sales and business development to bridge specification efforts among end users, designers and general contractors.
- Lead, train, and support local specification and sales teams while enhancing segment and application expertise.
- Define and create technical presentations, white papers and tools for specification activities and promotion.
- Provide feedback from the field to key account, segment, marketing and development teams.
- Provide support to launch the new Socomec offers to design offices and consultants, including technical argumentation vs that of the competition.
Qualifications
- Engineering degree in Energy / Electrical Engineering.
- 10yrs international experience in specification, business development, key account management or marketing.
- Proficiency in English is essential, whilst Mandarin and/or French would be considered an asset.
