Internal Auditor (Insurance)

About the Role

Our client is seeking an Internal Auditor to join their regional audit team. You'll play a key role in reviewing processes, identifying risks, and ensuring strong governance across our operations in Asia. This role offers regional exposure, the chance to work closely with senior management, and opportunities to sharpen your expertise in both business and IT audits.

What You'll Be Doing

• Plan and execute audit assignments, including risk assessments, audit programs, and fieldwork.
• Review processes, controls, and transactions to highlight risks, gaps, and improvement opportunities.
• Conduct interviews, analyse documents, and prepare reports with practical recommendations.
• Present findings to management and support follow-up on agreed actions.
• Supervise and guide junior auditors to ensure quality of deliverables.
• Collaborate with the Regional Head on audit planning, timelines, and methodology improvements.
• Build productive relationships with stakeholders across functions and geographies.
• Keep up to date with audit tools, data analytics, and industry developments.

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT, Risk Management, Compliance, or related field.
• At least 4 years audit experience in insurance, reinsurance, banking/financial services, or a top audit firm.
• Professional certifications (CIA, CPA, CISA) highly preferred or currently in progress.
• Solid understanding of governance, risk, compliance, and internal control frameworks.
• Strong analytical, report writing, and communication skills. Fluency in English is required; Mandarin/Korean is a plus.
• Comfortable working independently while also guiding junior team members.
• Familiar with Microsoft Office and data analytics tools (e.g., IDEA).
