.Plan, execute, and lead operational, financial, and IT audits of the company's trading activities, including front, middle, and back-office functions.
.Assess the design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over trading operations, risk management, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
.Evaluate key risks in the trading lifecycle, including market risk, credit risk, operational risk, and compliance risk, and provide recommendations for mitigation.
.Conduct audits of trading desks, asset management, and other key business functions to ensure adherence to established policies and procedures.
.Perform SOX compliance testing and coordinate with external auditors to support the annual audit process.
.Manage and develop a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
.Prepare clear and concise audit reports with actionable recommendations for presentation to senior management and the Audit Committee.
.Monitor the implementation of audit recommendations and management action plans.
.Utilize data analytics and computer-assisted audit techniques (CAATs) to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audit procedures.
.Participate in special projects and internal investigations as required.
We are seeking candidates from one of the following backgrounds:
.Commodities Trading Industry:
A minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an internal audit or risk management role within a commodities trading house, with a preference for experience in the energy sector.
.Big 4 Public Accounting:
A minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an audit professional in a Big 4 firm, with a significant portion of that time spent auditing clients in the commodities trading industry.
