Key Roles And Responsibilities
To support the Utilities Commercial & BD team in strengthening infrastructure planning, business development insights, and the standardization of internal collaterals, contributing to Sembcorp's long term strategic initiatives in Singapore.
This internship offers hands-on experience in business research, infrastructure documentation, and the development of strategic planning tools within the energy and utilities sector. It is well suited for students who enjoy research, structuring information, creating business documents, and supporting business planning efforts. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure mapping, industry analysis, and the creation of business collaterals that enable informed decision-making.
- Align and consolidate existing wayleaves with the master plan to support long-term infrastructure planning.
- Map service corridors and associated agreements to ensure visibility of key contractual elements and support proactive renewals management.
- Design and develop standardized templates for business proposals, presentations, and other business collaterals.
- Conduct desktop research and analysis to support the development of Sembcorp's utilities-related opportunities in Singapore.
- Perform business research and create tools to monitor industry trends, particularly focusing on opportunities in Jurong Island.
Qualifications, Skills & Experience
- Background in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Marketing, Economics or equivalent
- Candidates from other fields who demonstrate strong interest in business research or infrastructure planning are also encouraged to apply.
- Strong analytical, research, and information synthesis skills.
- Good proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Ability to create structured and visually clear business documents.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Interest in business development, utilities, or Singapore's industrial landscape is a plus.
