The Intern will support the Tech department in daily technical operations while gaining handson exposure to IT support and software development processes. This role is ideal for students looking to build practical skills in both IT infrastructure and application development. The intern will work closely with Tech department staff to support end users, assist in maintaining systems, and contribute to small development or automation tasks.
Key Responsibilities
IT Support & Operations
- Provide first-level technical support, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
- Support user account administration such as onboarding, access requests, and password resets.
- Perform system updates, routine checks, and basic preventive maintenance.
- Assist with IT hardware and software inventory tracking.
Software Development & Automation (RPA)
- Assist in the development, testing, and debugging of small internal tools, scripts, or applications.
- Create automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell, Python) to improve IT processes where applicable.
- Collaborate with IT team members to understand business requirements and propose simple technical solutions.
Project & Documentation
- Contribute to ongoing IT projects such as system upgrades, cloud initiatives, cybersecurity enhancements, or app improvements.
- Document troubleshooting steps, system processes, software changes, and technical tasks.
- Support setup and troubleshooting of audiovisual equipment for meetings and events.
