Job Description

[What the role is]

We are seeking a highly motivated intern with good interpersonal and analytical skills to join the Grants Division. This role will offer an opportunity to leverage data and analytics to review our end-to-end grant-making process, provide recommendations for streamlining or automation, and potentially identify new/different ways to approach, document as well as track our grant products.

[What you will be working on]

This includes:

  • Reviewing and analysing current standard operating procedures across the grant-making lifecycle, identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies that could benefit from automation or AI-powered solutions.
  • Research on emerging digital tools/technology, and evaluate their potential for streamlining application processing, due diligence, and impact measurement.
  • Understand current pain points and gather requirements (e.g. engaging with users and stakeholders) for AI-enhanced workflows, ensuring proposed solutions align with operational needs.
  • Prototyping AI solutions for grant administration tasks such as eligibility screening, to cut down on time taken for grant officers to evaluate grant proposals.
  • Creating data visualisation dashboards or AI-powered insights tools to support strategic decision-making and stakeholder communications.

Requirements:


  • Currently pursuing a degree or diploma in a relevant field such as Business Technology, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, writing and data analytics/visualisation skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of programming languages and AI tools preferred.
