Job Purpose

We are looking for a Private Credit Intern who will support the Private Credit team in identifying, analyzing, structuring and monitoring private credit investments. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to dealing origination, execution and syndication, including due diligence, financial modelling, portfolio monitoring, and risk assessment. The intern will gain experience across the three private credit strategies within an institutional investment framework.

Job Responsibilities

(A) Investment Research and Deal Screening

  • Assist in researching potential private credit opportunities, including performing credit, structured credit, asset-backed lending, dislocated credit, sponsor-finance/event-driven, unlisted high-yield bonds, special situations, secondaries, venture & growth debt, supply chain credit, etc.
  • Support monitoring credit market trends, economic indicators, and sector developments.
  • Assist in drafting preliminary investment memoranda and credit analyses under supervision.

(B) Due Diligence Support

  • Support the review of financial statements and key performance indicators for credit assessments.
  • Assist in evaluating credit risks such as leverage, liquidity, collateral, and cash flow stability.
  • Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to support legal, operational, and commercial due diligence activities.

(C) Financial Modelling and Valuation

  • Assist in maintaining and updating financial models under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Support sensitivity and scenario analysis on key credit variables.
  • Provide assistance in evaluating pricing, structuring, and terms for potential investments.

(D) Risk Assessment and Portfolio Monitoring

  • Assist in assessing borrower creditworthiness and updating internal risk ratings.
  • Support monitoring of portfolio performance, covenant compliance, and borrower behaviour.
  • Help identify and escalate potential credit concerns under supervision.

(E) Documentation and Transaction Support

  • Assist in preparing and reviewing transaction documentation, including loan agreements and security arrangements.
  • Support coordination with legal, compliance, and external counterparties as required.

(F) Reporting and Presentation Preparation

  • Assist in preparing internal reports, presentations, and dashboards on deal pipelines, portfolio performance, and risk metrics.
  • Provide support during investment committee meetings and other stakeholder discussions.

(G) General Research and Administrative Support

  • Conduct basic macroeconomic and sectoral research relevant to private credit strategies.
  • Provide ad hoc analytical or administrative support to the Private Credit team as assigned.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Undergraduate student from Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with familiarity in financial statement analysis and credit metrics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel basic exposure to financial modelling or valuation is advantageous.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, and a willingness to learn.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • A foundational understanding of credit markets, debt instruments, and financial regulations is preferred.
  • Candidates with relevant internship experience preferred.

Internship Duration

  • Preferably someone who can commit to at least 6 months starting Jan 2026.
