We are looking for an
Intern to join the team in Singapore.
The Investment Compliance team monitors portfolios across funds and segregated client accounts to help ensure investment restrictions are met. The role works closely with portfolio managers, traders, Investment Risk, and partner teams in Operations, Fund Accounting, and Technology to keep compliance data accurate, resolve system or data issues, and support timely processing. Joining the team provides hands-on exposure to guideline monitoring, pre-trade controls, and how investment teams operate within a global asset manager.
How will you add value
- Support pre-trade compliance reviews in Charles River.
- Research post-trade alerts and document outcomes.
- Escalate potential breaches to managers and stakeholders.
- Track incidents to closure with timely follow-up.
- Support compliance reporting and information requests.
- Support onboarding of new funds or client accounts and test rules.
- Identify automation opportunities to improve workflows.
What will help you be successful in this role
Education
- Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration or a related discipline
Technical/ Markets Knowledge
- Exposure to asset classes such as equities, fixed income and derivatives
- Interest in automation, AI, or process improvement; VBA is an advantage
- Familiarity with Bloomberg (including Bloomberg Excel Add-in tool) is a plus
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical mindset and ability to escalate issues promptly.
- High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
