Job Description
About the Role
Dinosaur School is our early intervention programme supporting infants and young children with developmental needs. We're looking for an intern to join our team, working alongside our teachers and therapists to support children in small-group and push-in therapy sessions.
What You'll Do
- Assist teachers in running daily classroom sessions for children with developmental needs
- Support therapists during push-in sessions, helping implement individual goals within classroom activities
- Help prepare learning materials, activity stations, and classroom setup
- Observe and document children's participation and progress under supervision
- Support daily routines (transitions, mealtimes, toileting) as needed
- Assist with basic administrative tasks related to class documentation
What We're Looking For
- Planning to pursue qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Psychology, Speech-Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or a related field
- Genuine interest in working with young children with developmental needs
- Patient, warm, and comfortable in a hands-on classroom environment
- Able to commit to 4/5 days/week for a minimum of 6 months
- No prior experience required - training and supervision provided
