Job Summary
Manage and deliver interior design projects from concept through installation, driving client satisfaction and project success through strategic design development, technical precision, and effective stakeholder collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Lead interior design projects by developing innovative design concepts, mood boards, and space plans that align with client requirements and budget constraints
- Create detailed technical drawings and documentation using CAD software to ensure precise design execution
- Specify and select appropriate furniture, fixtures, equipment (FF&E), materials, and finishes to meet design objectives and quality standards
- Coordinate effectively with contractors, vendors, and architects to facilitate seamless project delivery and resolve design-related challenges
- Conduct site visits to monitor project progress, assess quality, and proactively address any issues to maintain timelines and standards
- Communicate design intent clearly through presentations and client interactions to influence decision-making and secure approvals
Required competencies and certifications
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite to produce accurate design documentation and visual presentations
- Strong knowledge of space planning, materials, furnishings, and building codes to ensure compliant and functional designs
- Demonstrated project management skills to oversee timelines, resources, and stakeholder coordination effectively
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or a related field as foundational knowledge supporting design expertise
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer with a strong portfolio demonstrating successful project outcomes and design innovation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage clients and internal teams confidently
