Role Description
The Interior Designer will play a key role in planning and executing interior design projects, ensuring client needs and aesthetic visions are met. Daily tasks include creating space plans, producing construction drawings, and working closely with clients, vendors, and contractors. The role also involves selecting and specifying FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) for projects. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Singapore.
Job Scope & Requirements
- Collaborating with clients to understand their design requirements and preferences.
- Producing detailed design concepts, spatial layouts, mood boards, carpentry layout together with carpentry construction drawings, tile setting out plan, lighting plans, 3D visualisations (sketch-up, rendering, modelling), pre-renovation plans and post-renovation plans to scale 1:100 in A3 and A4 size, painting schedule, M & E layout, false ceiling schedule, aircon schedule, etc.
- Selecting and sourcing appropriate FF&E for the project. Work directly with suppliers to obtain material information and digital samples for design purposes.
- Promptly address clients concerns and queries, and lead progress of the projects.
- Manage multiple projects and deliver work according to timeline aligned with manager and clients.
- Build sales pipeline with the company.
- Expertise in Interior Design and Space Planning to create innovative and functional designs
- Proficiency in Architecture and Construction Drawings to produce detailed project plans
- Experience in selecting and specifying FF&E for a variety of design styles and requirements
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills to manage multiple projects effectively
- Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar tools
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with clients, vendors, and team members
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field
- Knowledge of design trends and local building codes is an advantage
- At least 3 years of work experience in this sector or a related industry.
