Interior Designer / Design Drafter

Vorge Singapore is seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Interior Designer / Design Drafter with strong technical skills to support our projects. If you have excellent design sense and enjoy transforming concepts into precise technical drawings, we'd love to hear from you.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare 2D AutoCAD technical drawings for residential interior design projects with minimal supervision from the Interior Designer.

• Produce the complete set of Standard 6 submission drawings, detailed cabinetry shop drawings, joinery details, and other construction drawings.

• Develop detailed design proposals, including technical drawings, space planning and 3D visualisations.

• Assist in material, finishes, fittings and furniture selection for project specifications.

• Work closely with the Design and Sales teams to understand clients design requirements and project objectives.

• Translate design concepts into practical, functional and aesthetically pleasing interior solutions.

• Coordinate with production, suppliers and installers to ensure drawings are accurate and buildable.

• Monitor project progress to ensure design intent, quality standards and project timelines are achieved.

• Perform site measurements and attend site meetings where required.

• Carry out any other duties assigned by Management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Interior Architecture or a related discipline.

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in residential interior design.

• Mandatory experience in 2D AutoCAD drafting, including:

  • Standard 6 drawing submissions

  • Cabinetry layout drawings

  • Cabinet joinery details

  • Construction and shop drawings

• Proficient in AutoCAD and 3D rendering software (3ds Max, SketchUp or equivalent).

• Experience with Kujiale (酷家乐) will be an added advantage.

• Strong technical knowledge of residential cabinetry and interior fit-out detailing.

• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.

• Meticulous, responsible and able to perform well under tight deadlines.

• Must be proficient in both English and Chinese to effectively communicate with Chinese-speaking clients.
