Interior Designer

Key Responsibilities

1. Discovery and Programming

• Client briefing, needs assessment, lifestyle/brand questionnaire
• Space planning and functional programming
• Project budget development and preliminary cost guidance
• Project timeline and phasing plan

2. Concept Design

• Design concept development and design narrative/storyboard
• Mood boards and inspiration boards
• Preliminary space plans and layout options
• Preliminary material, finish, and colour palette direction
• Client presentation and concept approval sign-off

3. Design Development

• Detailed floor plans, elevations, and sections
• Furniture, fixtures & equipment (FF&E) selection and specification
• Lighting design, lighting plans, and fixture schedules
• Material, finish, and colour schedules
• Custom furniture, joinery, or millwork design
• 3D renderings, visualizations, or walkthroughs
• Window treatment, textile, and soft-furnishing specification

4. Documentation

• Design and layout documentation for contractors/tradespeople
• Specification books and finish/fixture/furniture schedules
• Coordination with architects, engineers, or MEP consultants, where applicable
• Permit or approval documentation support, where required

5. Procurement and Sourcing

• Vendor and supplier sourcing, and quotation comparison
• Purchase order preparation and order placement support
• Order tracking, delivery coordination, and lead-time management
• Sample and material approval coordination

6. Site Support and Installation

• Contractor and trade coordination, and responses to design queries
• Snag list / punch list review and close-out
• Final styling, staging, and installation walkthrough

7. Additional Services

• Art, accessory, and decor curation
• Presentation materials or client-facing design decks
• Photography coordination for completed projects

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
• Fresh graduates and candidates with relevant experience are welcome to apply.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented and disciplined.
• Able to manage and cope with multiple deliverable deadlines.
• Willingness to learn and take instruction.
