We are seeking a motivated Instrumentation Engineer to join our Geotechnical team. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, installation, and monitoring of geotechnical instrumentation across a range of infrastructure and construction projects. You will work closely with project teams and clients to ensure accurate data collection, timely reporting, and compliance with contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the installation of geotechnical instruments (e.g., inclinometers, piezometers, settlement markers) on project sites.
  • Manage instrument monitoring schedules and ensure data is collected accurately and on time.
  • Review and verify instrumentation readings using sound geotechnical engineering principles, flagging anomalies and trends to project stakeholders.
  • Prepare and review instrument monitoring reports for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
  • Develop technical proposals, method statements, and risk assessments for instrumentation works.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants on contractual, technical, and scheduling matters.
  • Attend and actively contribute to project meetings, providing updates on instrumentation progress and findings.
  • Maintain accurate records of instrument installations, calibrations, and monitoring data.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 1 to 5 years of relevant working experience in geotechnical instrumentation or monitoring, preferably in Singapore or Malaysia.
  • Solid understanding of geotechnical engineering concepts and common instrumentation systems.
  • Proficiency in preparing technical documents, including proposals, method statements, and monitoring reports.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to liaise effectively across multiple stakeholders.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior hands-on experience with geotechnical instrument installation and field monitoring.
  • Familiarity with local regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., BCA, LTA guidelines).
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools or instrumentation software.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
  • Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
  • Exposure to a diverse portfolio of geotechnical and infrastructure projects.
  • Supportive and collaborative team environment.
