Job Description

About our client: Our client is a leading global oil & gas company specializing in offshore assets such as FSO/SPSO's.

Responsibilities & Scope of Work:

. Support the Instrument design team to implement and complete the FEED and Detail Design work for FPSO / FPU topsides modules.

. Check instrument data sheets, specifications, dr

awings, and Material Take-Offs (MTOs).

. Responsible for technical management of assigned ICSS and F&G packages, as well as Control Narratives. In charge of instrument equipment layouts, 3D models, I/O lists, control valve selection, cable sizing, and cable tray routing.

. Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and civil disciplines to ensure seamless integration of instrumentation and control systems in topside modules.

Qualifications & Skills:

. Bachelor's degree or higher in Shipbuilding, Electrical, Instrumentation, or a closely related engineering discipline, with at least 5 years of relevant experience in FPSO / FPU or offshore oil & gas projects.

. Proven experience in FEED and Detailed Design of instrumentation, ICSS, and safety systems, including field instruments, control logic, and Control Narratives. Hands-on experience in instrumentation layouts, 3D model integration, I/O assignment, cable routing, control valves, and junction boxes.

. Familiarity with Classification Rules and offshore standards/regulations such as DNV, ABS, API, NORSOK, and IEC.

. Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary teams and ensure design deliverables comply with project schedules and technical requirements.

. Hands-on experience using Intools, a widely used engineering software for instrumentation and control system design, management, and documentation in offshoreoil & gas projects.

. Key responsibilities using Intools include: Maintaining instrument indices and datasheets for field devices. Designing and documenting instrument loops, interlocks, and control logic. Mapping I/O signals between field instruments, control panels, and DCS/PLC systems. Supporting cable routing, sizing, and junction box planning. Generating loop diagrams, datasheets, BOMs, and reports for project review, approvals, and handover.

. Proficiency in Intools ensures accurate, consistent, and compliant instrumentation and ICSS designs across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Please note that this role will be stationed between China and Singapore on a Project basis for the next 18 months.
