Instrument Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise to engineering and production teams, focusing on specialized electrical and instrumentation (E&I) equipment, plant operations, and maintenance methods. Lead and guide E&I projects by staying updated on industry trends and implementing beneficial systems within the plant. Collaborate with maintenance staff to troubleshoot issues, conduct root cause analysis, and develop sustainable solutions to enhance production continuity. Plan, manage, and execute plant projects related to distributed control systems (DCS), electrical systems, and safety systems, ensuring quality and compliance with budget and schedule constraints. Share knowledge of advanced automation techniques and best practices facilitate knowledge exchange with other sites. Conduct training sessions for maintenance and operations teams regarding E&I processes and equipment updates. Fulfill scheduled E&I on-call engineer responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical Engineering, Process Control, or a related field. A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in maintenance or engineering within a relevant industry. In-depth knowledge of E&I and process control systems. Motivated, team-oriented, and capable of working effectively under pressure. Proficient in standard office software familiar with fieldwork in a chemical plant handling hazardous materials. Willingness to work in Jurong Island.
