Institutional Sales/Business Development (Asset Management Company)

Our client, a well-established Asset Management firm is seeking a driven Institutional Sales professional to grow and manage relationships with institutional clients. The role will focus on fundraising, client coverage, and expanding distribution channels across asset owners and financial intermediaries.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Coverage & Relationship Management

  • Develop and manage relationships with institutional clients including asset managers, insurance companies, banks, family offices, sovereign wealth funds, and pension funds
  • Maintain regular engagement with clients, providing updates on investment strategies, performance, and market insights
  • Act as the key point of contact for client queries, servicing needs, and relationship development

2. Business Development & Fundraising

  • Drive AUM growth through active client acquisition and fundraising initiatives
  • Identify new business opportunities and expand distribution channels across target markets
  • Lead client pitches, presentations, and roadshows to promote the firm's investment products and strategies

3. Product & Market Strategy

  • Work closely with investment, product, and marketing teams to position and market investment strategies effectively
  • Provide market intelligence and client feedback to support product development and strategic initiatives
  • Support the launch of new funds and investment products

4. Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure all client interactions and activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies
  • Maintain proper documentation and reporting for audit and compliance purposes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field
  • 10 - 15 years of experience in institutional sales, business development, or client coverage within asset management, private banking, or financial institutions
  • Strong network with institutional clients (e.g. asset owners, banks, family offices) is highly preferred
