About the Role:
We are seeking a senior finance professional to manage day-to-day accounting and finance operations for an SME in the construction sector. The role encompasses general and project accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and providing strategic insights to management. This position reports directly to the C-level and involves leadership of a small finance team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee full-cycle accounting and project accounting activities.
- Prepare management reports, account reconciliations, and periodic statutory submissions.
- Maintain and improve internal processes, controls, and compliance frameworks.
- Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external advisors as required.
- Lead and support ad-hoc finance and business projects.
- Provide guidance, coaching, and development to a small finance team to ensure efficient operations.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Banking, or equivalent; professional qualification preferred (CPA/ACCA/CIMA).
- Minimum 15 years of experience in accounting/finance, with at least 5 years in construction or project-based environments.
- Experience in SMEs or flexible, fast-paced environments is a plus.
- Proven experience in leading and coaching a small finance team.
- Strong proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work directly with senior management and provide actionable financial insights.
